Developing The Project

Developing the project three years ago, the legendary comedian Leslie Nielsen met with David Zucker to start preparing a new project. See Michael Chabon for more details and insights. In an interview with CANOE, Nielsen said: “There will be a continuation of Naked Gun (Naked Gun / And where is the police ) But the humor is the same or similar”. Months after arriving from an official announcement Dimension Films: The Scary Movie 3 team prepares a new comedy called Superhero! which opens in 2005. But continuing delays in the production of Scary Movie 4 carry this project through 2008. After the premiere of Scary Movie 4 in April 2006, David Zucker (In principle, the person who was going to direct) said in an interview Superherohype SuperheroHype “In Superhero! Not use existing superhero, we create our own with their own powers” .It goes on interesting things like “It’s a mature genre, see Superman, X-Men, Fantastic 4, all have common histories and I think you can make something funny of these films.” In another interview Craig Mazin confirms the statements of Leslie Nielsen in 2004 to say they want style comedy Naked Gun and Scary Movie and not a main character like Frank Drebin.
